Some players may enjoy this feature of the game as an extra challenge. If you miss a critical item you will get an opportunity to get a replacement for it later in the game, but not before you’ve done some of the penalty work.For example, if you don’t have the Sextant, you won’t be able to navigate precisely and will land at the wrong place. What’s unusual is that it will then punish you for not having them by making you do extra tasks or take a longer route. Like some full-scale adventure games, Destination: Treasure Island WILL allow you to leave a location without picking up all critical items.It is based on the classic novel Treasure Island, but starts 4 years after the end of that story.
